Is there any way when opening a session that is configured for ssh (putty) to block that window flash before it embeds the putty window? Also, is there any way to force it to open putty in the embedded window fullscreen, so that you don't see the titlebar, etc? I really like Remote Desktop Manager, but I don't like when things do not look "seamless." Are there any plans to allow use of other ssh clients other than putty?
Thanks,
David
Hi,
For the flash, there is nothing we can do. Embedding it is a sort of hack, we have to create the process before we embed it. For the titlebar, we already made some test and we rollback our change, but this was 5 months ago and we changed a lot of stuff so we will give it a try again for sure. Can you give us some ssh client you have in mind, we always try to add more product. Have you verified our add-on list, maybe you will find something interesting ? For example we have SecureCRT.

I have another putty question. I use RDM on many different computers with many Putty sessions. Putty by default stores the sessions in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY I found a modified putty.exe that stores the sessions in a folder so that i can easily grab the sessions and move to other computers but after doing so it seems that RDM does not look for the sessions stored in the Sessions folder but only in the registry. The location i got the modified putty is from here. http://socialistsushi.com/2005/11/17/portaputty It would be nice if RDM and portaputty worked together. good idea +good idea = Great Idea.
Hi,
This is a good idea, I will look at it for a future version.
