It would be nice if there was an option to make an existing local template a shared template (even if just for the current selected RDMO data source). Right now you have to create a new shared template, duplicate the settings, and then delete the local template.
Hi,
Definitively on the next release roadmap.

I vote for this change request too :-)
Hi,
I will raise the priority.
Thank you

Hello,
This will be available in the upcoming beta release. When you go in File > Templates > Manage templates, there will be a button to copy the currently selected template to local or shared template group.

Hi,
would (or is) it possible to create a shortcut to another datasource?
We have one datasource for each customer and want to create a "favorite datasource" with the connection which we need every day.

Hi,
You can create a desktop shortcut in the Advanced tab page of your connection.

Hi David,
but we want to add the shortcuts in a RDM datasource, because we want to use this for our helpdesk (so tehy only need one major datasource)
The desktop shortcut could not be added in RDM again, isn't it?

I think that you could try to use the protocol handler and create a web url with it:

Hi David,
thank you, this works.
But would it in a future release possible directly add a shortcut to another datasource? I Think it would be a nice feature.

Hi David,
is my request about the Shortcut to another datasource on the roadmap or is it not possible at the moment?
best regards
Tobias
It's on my personal todo list. I will do my best to have this for RDM 11 this September.
