TS Gateway Credential Prompt
Hi,
I seem to only experience this issue when working offline remotely, probably because only then does it use the RDS gateway. We have a RDS gateway setup to access servers behind that RDS. This works fine, even in offline mode remotely. However, after a period of idle time the RDP screen locks which is to be expected. As I would normally do I use the "Reconnect" button under actions because I don't know all the password and well, it's just quicker and easier. I then get prompted for credentials for the RDS gateway even though these are already setup and it doesn't ask the first time of connecting, only on the reconnect. If I close the session by hitting the cross, then select to start a new connect to that server it connects without prompting for credentials and reconnects to my existing session. I'm running the latest version of the software.

Would you mind to send me some print screen by email: dhervieux at devolutions.net Just make sure to keep the pattern. I want to verify how you credentials are stored in the session. Do you save it locally, use the credential repository or save it in the database.

We do have the same behavior. When there is RDS Gateway configured for the RDP session, the reconnect button doesn't take into account the RDS Gateway credentials setup.
We do have RDS Gateway credentials configured with the credential repository.
Could you enable the full reconnect in the Advanced settings of the RDP session?

Hi David,
Could we get the default behaviour changed rather than us having to set the option? The issue seems to be intermittent when using TS gateway but it's definitely happening. Getting everyone at our company to change this each time would require us to educate people about it. Relying on people to remember things is not my preferred option.

I could add a global option to force the full reconnect when the application detect a Gateway. Do you think it could be good for you?

Yeh, that would be fine. So that would be a global setting for all remote desktop connections that use TS gateway to always fully reconnect? It sounds like a bug anyway, couldn't that change to be the default behaviour?
