Remote computers controlling local mouse

Remote computers controlling local mouse

Hello,
I think this may be the same issue as these questions, but i just wanted to clarify while I'm in the evaluation period for the software

In our scenario, we have many RDP connections open at the same time, and and in each of them, the mouse is moving a great deal. The remote machines are each running UI-intensive test cases for our application, so there's a lot of of mouse movement and clicking in each one. When I open multiple tabs within Remote Desktop Manager, one for each machine, everything seems to work fine on the remote machines (and the View only mode is a great feature for preventing any problems from accidental local clicks).

However, when I move the local mouse pointer over the client area of the tabs, they seem to take over the mouse for the local machine- even if the Remote Desktop Manager is not actually displaying the tab for one of them (eg, when the parent group is selected in the navigation tree).

In the other forum threads you suggested playing with the "min input interval setting", and this does seem to change the behavior (i changed it from 100 to 10000), but in some cases it actually breaks my tests, because the mouse clicks don't seem to all be getting through to the remote machines - and eventually it winds up moving the mouse pointer of the local machine anyway.

Is there any other setting to work with? For my scenario, I would be fine if the solution involved temporarily turning off the display of the remote machine contents.

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi,
Unfortunately I don't know any other setting that could help. Does the problem appear also in external mode?

Hi David, thanks for the quick reply.
When I undocked the RDP sessions, it still happened.

The undocked mode is not the same than the external mode. Could you try the real external mode?
