Hi,
I did a search on this but didn't find anything that suited.
When you get a remote assistance request it comes as an attachment within an email.
Is it possible to have RDM as the default application to this, and if so can it open up as a tabbed window in RDM?
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately it's not possible. the Remote Assistance integration is very limited by Microsoft.

I know that this post is a little older but I wanted to see if I could get some assistance. We would love to use Windows Remote Assistance. Here is our scnerio.
1. All of our systems are in a datacenter.
2. We run Citrix XenApp And XenDestkop
3. We have been able to get Windows Remote Assistance working from the domain controller over to the Citrix server/desktops with no issues
4. We have a VPN connection between our office and our datacenter.
5. The port 3389 is open as we are able to RDP into any and all of our servers/desktops using RDM.
6. We need to be able to pass credentials through RDM into the Windows Remote assistance entry
Is this at all possible for us to be able to use the Windows Remote Assistance in our office to connect to servers/desktop in the datacenter and input our credentials or at least inherit the credentials of a server?
Hi,
I don't think it's possible. Could you double check to see if it's possible to send the credential to the remote assistance command line?

I was only able to find a link talking about how to do a runas
Runas.exe /user:domain\user “%windir%\system32\msra.exe”
http://blogs.interfacett.com/using-runas-to-customize-shortcuts-in-windows-7
What about creating it as a sub-connection and having it inherit the credentials that are stored on the parent?
This could work but might have to do a command line session to do the runas

When launching an application from the command line using run as. Is it somehow running the application FROM that server selected or is it running locally?
It's running locally.
