We are using Labtech at my company and at my previous company i loved working with RDM. The ideaal picture would be to combine the to, i'm sure if i can get them linked together i will convince my Boss to buy a company license

Can anyone advise how to proceed with my quest?

Thanks!

Hi,
We don't have a real integration with Labtech. This is something that we have on our todo list but I can't give you a timeframe. Perhaps we could open the web page and do the auto login if it's web based?

Thanks for responding to my question!
Good to hear that it is something you have in consideration. Unfortunately most engineering activity is server based and via RDP, teamviewer etc.

I'll give a thumbs up to Labtech integration as well.

My company, VC3, is a fully Licensed RDM enterprise global customer with over 7000 managed objects and we have not even officially launched the product to our support teams yet. We also use labtech extensively for thousands of managed devices. Here is a copy of an e-mail I sent to our RDM infrastructure engineer this morning. Based on a forum search it appears this has been on your radar for over a year. If I where you I would be working towards LabTech Elite Partnership status since it's probably the largest Manage services platform at the moment and your products compliment each other perfectly:

David, I’m hoping you can push this forward. I think if we pushed a little we could get them to bump the priority since it appears it’s already on their to do list:

http://forum.devolutions.net/topic9611-using-rdm-to-open-labtech-sources.aspx

They are usually extremely responsive since RDM in its essence exists to integrate with as many 3rd party remote IT management tools as possible. It’s really the core of their business and what they do.

All they need to do is apply at the link below and then work with the SDK/API kit to develop a plugin that can read our Labtech database for managed hosts and then import a corresponding session object into RDM. The hosts created by the plug-in would launch the Labtech client’s reverse ssh tunnel, but pass credentials from and embed/manage the session in RDM. Something similar could also be done for SSH/Telnet/VNC/HTTP by redirecting from a Labtech agent on the same LAN as the target device.

There is a Secure CRT plugin that works this way. Once the plugin is installed it will read your saved CRT hosts and save corresponding objects in RDM. When you access that object, it actually launches CRT but passes the linked credentials and any other login automation parameters from RDM. Since Labtech uses the native RDM client in windows after the reverse SSH tunnel is initiated, having all of this fully managed and embedded in RDM for a seamless UI experience should be straightforward.

The Beauty of having it in RDM would be no VPN requirement for all Labtech agent hosts and the ability to automatically login to every customer, environment, and device type from one application where we also manage secure credentials.

All they need to do to get started is go here and apply to be a Labtech Access Partner: http://www.labtechsoftware.com/technology-alliance-features.php

Hi,
We did a lot of improvement in RDM last year and for 2014 we want to focus on two things:

1. Simplify the user interface by adding more customization to hide what you don't need

2. Integrate more technologies like Labtech, Kaseya, Team Viewer API, Scorpion Password Manager, Managed Engine Password Manager, CyberArk Azure VM and many more

I would love to see the Labtech integration as well!

Hi,
I would like to know if integration with Cyber Ark is already available.
Our need is to connect to windows server through Cyber Ark.

thanks

It's not implemented yet but it's something that we want to do soon.

Has there been any movement in regards to integrating with Labtech?

avatar

Nothing new on our side. We need to setup a server before. We will see what we can do in the next quarter.

Hello David,
do you have in plan integration with Labtech?
Now Labtech is ConnectWise Automation, maybe with one integration you can make happy a lot of people!
Thanks

I'd like to add my name to the wishlist of peeps hoping for integration of LabTech into RDM. We use RDM extensively across a large estate of sites and machines, it's awesome as we all know! We need a monitoring solution to work along side, and preferably integrated with, RDM. We hadn't actually come across LabTech till a Devolutions tech just suggested it, and he also directed me to this post to keep up with news of any integration that might happen. So, long story short, RDM = amazing, monitoring solution integrated with RDM = super amazing!
