RDP Resolution for Embeded sessions.
I've been working with 5.0.2.0 for about a month now and have recently downloaded 5.5.0 to test. I have found that the embeded RDP desktop resolution is different between the two versions. When running 5.0.2.0 the resolution that I get is 964x652 and when running 5.5.0 it shows as 1280x722. The settings on the Display tab of the Session Configuration are: Remote Desktop Size = Default, and Smart sizing = on.
I'm changing between 5.0.2 and 5.5.0 by swapping the .exe in the install folder, so all configurations should remain the same.
I'm not sure which is version is working correctly, but with my aging eyes, I prefer the way that 5.0.2.0 works, it gives me bigger text and icons to see.

The version 5.5 is correct, but I will try to reproduce the side effect caused by the bug in the 5.0. Maybe you can disable smart resize and try to use a specific resolution, like 1024 x 768 as a workaround until I find a solution for you.

Thanks for the quick response on this. I tested the 5.5.0.0x version that you sent and under the same conditions as below, this provides a screen resolution of 1276X631. The native resolution of my laptop screen is 1280X800, so both this and the 5.5.0.0 version work very nicely in full-screen, but are rather small when run embeded. The new version actually looks squished horizontally but normal vertically if this makes any sense.

I spoke too soon... With the new version (5.5.0.0x) only the first session that is opened embeded, opens at 1276x631 resolution. If I keep this tab open and then open a second, third, etc connection to other servers, these new connections are opened at 984x631. I think that this is because the actual size of the tabbed window isn't established until I have one connection open.

Can you try to download again the (5.5.0.0x) version and let me know if it's works now also for the first session. If I understand well, the second session open exactly as you want ?

David, I just downloaded the 5.5.0.0x version again and it seems to operate the same as the 5.5.0.0 version. All sessions open with the same resolution 1280x772.
Have you changed the settings in the config file. It's now exposed in the option -Adavanced tab. Make sure that "Fit embedded RDP in Window (Remote Desktop Manager 5.0)"is set to true (checked).

David, I'm note seeing this setting on either of the advanced tabs (the one at the top or the one in the middle associated with RDP connections). Is there something else that I'm missing?

I was looking on the wrong advanced tab. I found it on the File|Options|Advanced. I was originally looking on the settings for each session. Thanks for your help.

Yes, It works now. When I check this box, the RDP sessions open embedded with the resolution of the window in which they are opening.
