"windows key" stocked on RDP session

"windows key" stocked on RDP session

avatar

Hello Guys, I'm running version 0.9.16.0 on OS X 10.9 and for the last couple of versions I have experience an issue where I switch between RDM and other apps (email, safari, Word, etc) using the command+tab key convention the "windows key" is stocked on the RDP session, this happens for both Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 sessions.
For example if I'm on RDM on Windows 2008 session, then use command+tab to look something up on Safari and then use Command+tab to go back to RDM, if I tried to type "demo" it shows the desktop because "windows key"+d is the default key combination to show the desktop, if try to type echo, windows explorer open (windowskey+e), etc.
In order to stop this behavior, I have to press the command key another time, which opens the start menu, and then click on the window that I was initially trying to type.

Hi,

This should be fixed in 0.9.21.0. Please give it a try and let me know!

Thanks, Richard

Hello Richard,
sorry about my delayed response but I was OOO last week. I installed version 0.9.27.0 today and tested this on Windows 2003 and 2008, both of them are working fine, I can now use the keyboard to get in and out of sessions without any issues. Great work...!!!

Hello Richard, I saw this reappearing on version 0.9.33.0 and 0.9.34.0. Can you please take a look?

Hi

It's strange because when I tried it on my machine, everything was working fine.

I've added an additional log statement in FreeRDP on the latest release (0.9.36.0).

Please open Console.app, and try to [Command]+[Tab] in-and-out of RDM. When you [Tab] back into RDM, you should see a message like "Remote Desktop Manager: Releasing meta key".

Can you let me know if it's printed?

If it helps, you can filter the Console output by just entering "Remote Desktop Manager" in the filter box

Thanks, Richard
