RDM quitted unexpectedly when trying to connect

avatar

Hi,

I just got the email notification about the beta version hours ago and very eager to try it. Unfortunately it crashed every time I tried to connect to remote hosts using RDP. I wonder whether the attached dump info can help you to resolve this issue so I can test it?

Thanks.

Hi,

What kind of data source are you using? Does it occur on different hosts, or just certain connections?

Thanks,

Richard

1. It's a local data source.
2. I have tried it with various hosts and all got the similar errors.

Hi,

We just released a new version (0.9.4.0). Can you verify if the issue still exists?

If it does, you can navigate to the Remote Desktop Manager > Preferences, and under the 'Advanced' tab, set the "Debug Level" to '1'.

Then if you repeat the test, you should be able to find some Connections.log and RemoteDesktopManager.log files in ~/Library/Application Support/com.devolutions.remotedesktopmanager. If possible, you can send me those files in a private message.

Thanks,

Richard

So RDM does not work with Lion?

We do target Lion however it's possible we're using an API somewhere that is not available in Lion. Most of the development was done on Mountain Lion and Mavericks.

I don't have a Lion environment to test this right now. Is it possible for you to upgrade and see if that resolves your issue? The update to Mavericks is free and there is a direct upgrade path from Lion.

Thanks, Richard
