Smartsizing on full screen doesn't work for me

When I check Smart Sizing in the display tab of a Windows RDP session, it works great when I just resize the screen by lowering or raising the top pane. In that case, the session resizes as expected. But, if I send the session to full screen, it doesn't resize. It just sends the session to full screen the same size. What am I missing here? I need to get some sessions to go full screen at full resolution because my laptop screen is only 1600x900 and an embedded session is often below Windows' minimum usable of 1024x768. Thanks.

Hi Phil,
The resize does not increase the resolution. I think you will need to set the resolution 1600x900 and let RDM resize it to smaller. This is a limitation of the RDP client unfortunately

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tried that on a virtual machine. I set the actual resolution to 1600x900 using a direct connection, then opened it in a tabbed RDP session in RDM. Tabbed, the best "resolution" I can get is 1236x598 with as many panes collapsed or unpinned as I'm comfortable with. If I right-click the tab and send it to full screen, the resolution still remains 1236x598, I just have it centered in the full screen.
