Hello,
When I use "user specific settings" to override the authentication settings on folder, the connection in that folder set as "inherited" do not use the override setting.
Is it normal ?
Could you try to add and dummy value in the folder. I suspect that since the folder does not contains any credentials, RDM skip it and does not check for the user specific override.

Ok strange. Adding a dummy value worked. Then modifiy to use personal credential and then it worked ... There is probably n ninterface bug setting for the credentials in the folder. I will do more tests on that points.
Here is my test result.: Do make the inherited settings from a folder to work, I had to:
0- Edit connections atuhentication settings to inherited
1- Edit the properties of the folder and add a dummy username (test connection: Ok, it use the dummy username)
2- Edit the properties of the folder and remove the dummy username
3 - Edit user specific settings with the correct authentication type / vault
4 - Test the connection and now it work as expected
Without all this step, I could set the values in specific session settings but they are not properly inherited....
Thank you David. I know what was the problem. What version of RDM do you use?
