Playlists

avatar

I am intrigued by this functionality as it is a feature I've desired for a long time. However, it does not seem to do anything. If I create a playlist, I select several RDP connections, give the playlist a name, description, and icon then click OK. Nothing opens, nothing is saved, the time-stamp on my data source does not change. Am I doing something wrong or is the feature currently unfinished? Or perhaps the feature is not what I assume it to be (which is to create groups of previously created connection entries).

v9.0.0.0 w/ Classic UI

Thank you.

Just tried v9.0.1.0 - no change.

This feature is done and it's working fine for me. So after the save, you don't see anything if you go in the Playlist manager?

Okay, now I'm feeling extra stupid! How do I invoke the Playlist Manager? I've never seen it and cannot find it in any menu.

My playlists do exist in AppData\Local.... but I still cannot figure out how to utilize them. I would prefer they reside in my data source if that is at all possible, but one thing at a time.

Hi again,
You are not stupid. It appears that the menu was missing in the classic UI. You can install this update and you will find it in View.

Well that's better! Very nice.

May I ask for a keyboard shortcut to the Playlist Manager here, or should I post that in feature requests? ;) For me, this feature is far too useful to be buried in the View menu, especially being I prefer to keep my top pane hidden for those extra vertical pixels.

Thanks David!

I have added Ctrl+G shortcut. This will be in the official v9.0.2 that we will release tomorrow. Download the zip and override the file as soon as you see it on our web site.
