Memory usage being misreported

Win7 Enterprise, 32-bit
.Net Runtime: V2.0.50727
Remote Desktop 6.1.7600.16385
RDM Version 5.8.3.0

When I go to the "About" page, it reports memory usage at a different value than what is reported by the task manager.
For example, right now, the About page says RDM is using 11MB of RAM, whereas task manager shows 31,400k (31.4MB) being used.

Also, I'm not sure the manual garbage collection is working either. How can I verify it is?

Hi,
The about box has the right memory usage. It's a know issue that .NET application does not show the right mmemory usage in the Task manager. Open your application, verify the memory usage in Task Manager, minimize the application et reverify. you will see it shrink a lot.

Just to show you how weird is taks manager, verify the memory usage, minimize the application and verify again. You will see the huge difference.

For the beta, the final version will be released very soon, maybe next week.
