Hi,
Could you please explain in details what are the meanings of the fields available in the Cisco ASDM Add-on?
Especially, those ones:
- Wait
- Tab delay
- Alternate login method
- Login title
Also, is it possible to have the ASDM tabbed in RDM? By default, the display in the entry properties is selected to "Embedded (tabbed)", but it's grayed out, and when I open the ASDM session, it is not tabbed but external:
Hi,
Basicaly this add-on is to replace you for typing your credentials in the right fields.
It has to find the login windows and fill it.
When you open the defined Cisco ASDM session few steps are followed :
This add-on is not designed to be embedded but this could be added in our to do list.

Got it, thank you. :)
Is it possible to deactivate the auto-login process? I'd like to use the add-on only to launch the ASDM, and I want to take care of typing the username/password every time, I don't want to store the username & password in RDM.

Hi,
Username and password are both optional.

André,
But if I do not complete the username and password fields, RDM still looks for the login window and still simulate the tab key to navigate from "username" to "password" field on the ASDM login form.
Or did I miss something?
Hi,
Do you have the latest version 1.0.2.3 ?
It's supposed to be a bug that has been fixed.

André,
Yes I do.
Hi,
Could you try this new version ?
I changed the way it starts with "Java Web Start" with no credential.
The locally method needs to find the window to select the host.

Hi André,
I just tested your new version, it seems to work flawlessly.
Thank you very much, that was quick! :)
Has the Tabbed display function been incorporated into the Cisco ASDM add-on, yet? My connections still pop out and I get the same behavior with the java webstart connections.
Thanks!

Hi,
Unfortunately it's not possible to embed the Cisco ASDM add-on. We have the same limitation with the Java webstart and it's because they are not a native app.
