Feature Request

avatar

in 5.5 you took off the ability to right click on the system tray icon to start a new RDP session. I used that feature a lot It would be great if that feature is expanded to open a new session of the programs.
Another feature that would be great is to capture the last address used in any of the remote applications and create a new saved session from that.
Thanks
you product is awesome I recommend this to all my friends in the industry, and also to accountant who need to connect to their client's computers

Hi,
First of all, thank you for your comment. In the 5.5 preview, the option you are talking about is still here, but not visible by default. All the trayicon menus are now optional, you can re-enable this feature in the Option dialog, in the page "Trayicon".

I'm not sure that I understand the what you mean by "Open new session of the program" ?

There is now a quick connect feature, if you open it embedded, you can now save the session, I will expand this feature for the opened session in the opened session view. The quick connect combo remember your previous connection.

The 5.5 is still a work in progress and there a lot of features to come, so your idea are all welcome and thank you for that. There will be more updated version this week.

I meant that from the trayicon menus you can start a new session of any of the remote programs not just RDP
what do you mean by open it embedded

Hi again,
Thank your for the explanation. I will try to add this.

For the embedded mode, it's a feature available for Remote Desktop in the version 5.0 and for VNC and Web Browser in the preview of Remote Desktop Manager 5.5. The option is available in the session configuration: Open Embedded. If this option is activated, the remote connection will be opened directly in Remote Desktop Manager and not in an external application (mstsc.exe).
