I think there is an issue when you check "Open in Console" for a RDP host session on a Server 2003 Datacenter server using version 5.8.1.0 of the program.
It opens the standard "Remote Desktop Connection Usage" window showing the allowed command line switches.
My guess is that the software is detecting the server wrong and passing /admin instead of /console for the switch.
I'm imagine the work around would be to create a bunch of RDP files and launch them instead. Just thought that you should know of the bug at least.
Great product overall! I'm working on getting several of my clients to purchase it.
Hi,
There is a setting to use the old console parameter, it's in the application options, in the tab page Session Type:
- Use old Remote Desktop Console Connection (Before XP SP3 ...)

Also,
If you go in the application about, what version of Remote Desktop (under .Net Runtime) do you have ?
David Hervieux
It's version 6.0.6000.16459
Also, the setting you suggested did make the error message go away. Thanks!
