ver. 5.8.0.1, datasource SQL 2008R2 - default settings, logged in user has all SQL server administrative roles, offline mode enabled, windows 7 64bit
If I want to work in offline mode, message asking me about this appears. If I don't have focused RDM in that time, message appears somewhere behind an I'll never get it back to the front...I need to kill RDM and start over.
EDIT: message is hidden under all other open windows - but for some reason, RDM window itself is sometimes positioned over that message and than it's unclickable
BTW, is there any way to shorten offline mode detection period? It takes really long time...

Hi,
I will verify for the dialog, just to be sure that we talk about the same dialog, can you post a printscreen of this dialog here? For the offline, you can reduce the connection timeout in data source settings.

It's the "Unable to connect to the datasource. Do you want to go in offline mode?" dialog. Will post screen later if you still need...
If there are any other windows on the screen, this one remains under all of them, including RDM main window itself - and you cannot click it. Only if RDM is the last left window displayed on the desktop, this message is correctly displayed over main RDM window. Sometimes, it stays in the behind forever and I found no way to take it out

Hi,
I'm unable to reproduce this behavior, but I know that this situation can happen. I added a small check to ensure that the window is visible and it will be in the next minor update
David Hervieux
well, it's a regular situation on my any my colegue's computer - but may be caused by some system differencies. thanks for your time and quick fig, hope you will release bugfix update soon :-)
Hi,
