When switching between embedded putty sessions, the dashboard keeps appearing even though I've deselected it from the layout menu. I've attached a video of it.

Hi,
Can you try to set the auto focus dashboard off in the application option, it's available in the UI options section of the General tab.

It still happens but to be fair it's only when I first try and switch between sessions after first opening RDM so I can live with it. If I just re-maximise the putty windows the dashboard stays in the background even if I close all my putty sessions and open new ones so it's not that annoying - I think I'll leave auto focus off as it seems to behave better. Thankyou.
Hi,
You can also try to hide the dashboard, it in the menu View->Layout

Yeah, I'm having same issue, to get rid of it I have to keep going to the view/layout to put a check next to the dashboard option, then going back to un check it. Its pretty annoying
I've also noticed in 5.7 I used to be able to choose Window / Tile Horizontal to split two putty sessions. Now in 5.8.1, when I do this, it adds the dshboard in every time so the only way to get the two putty windows alone is to manually resize. If I uninstall 5.8 and go back to 5.7, will I lose all my devices?
Hi,
What you can do instead of rolling back to 5.7, it's to use the previous UI. You can go in the advanced option of the application and choose Use Old UI (5.7)

Hi,
Can you verify that it's fixed in the latest beta ?
