David and I discussed this previously but only via email and not in the forum (and now I have more information about it).
I like to try and keep the tree in the All Sessions pane somewhat collapsed (rather than having a bunch of groups to scroll through constantly I can just choose the parent group I want and go from there). But what I’ve noticed (since I started using RDM - this isn't anything new with the recent BETA) is that the tree will automatically expand to the currently selected choice or opened session. Today I realized that the tree only expands like that when the session is connected to the Dashboard (either by opening a new session or returning to an already opened session on the Dashboard). If I open a new session and select External for my Display choice, the entry isn’t highlighted in the All Sessions navigation pane (for RDP generally). Using something like VMware (even though the entry says External display) actually opens a tab on the dashboard and expands the All Sessions tree as well.
Not sure if this is a "bug" per say or if this is something that can have an option to not automatically expand the tree (for embedded tabbed sessions)?
Thanks much

Hi,
Could you try to uncheck the "Auto select item on tab focus" located in File->Options->User Interface / Tree view
David Hervieux
Kewl - thanks. Works great. I appreciate you adding that option in RDM.
Just FYI - when you delete an item from Favorites, the All Sessions expands
I have entered a bug request for that. Thank you
