Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to get a quick connection via SSH by usin gthe Quick Connect bar at the top of the program.
I have setup a template that uses Putty to do SSH, and I've filled in the Username and Password fields as they're the same for all of our internal servers, but I had not filled in the Host. For our saved servers, I manually edited each session and filled the Host field in, but is it possible to have a variable (something like %HOST%) where it would take the name of the session as the hostname and automatically pass that to Putty? That way, I'm hoping, we'd be able to just type in the server's hostname/ip in the Quick Connect bar at the top, pick the SSH template from the dropdown next to the connect button, and then click Connect.
Without this, is there at least a way to connect to an SSH session quickly where we'd fill in the credentials and have the Putty window embedded into RDM? Using my SSH template, the Putty options window pops up and then becomes embedded within RDM, and then when I fill in the host/ip and click connect, I lose the embedding option.
I just thought I'd mention - we really love this product and fine it helpful! :)
Hi,
I will verify if it's possible to use quick connect, I don't see a technical problem, I think that maybe there is just a small adjustment to do in our code. I will get back to you soon.

Hi,
Quick question, in your template, do you use an existing Putty session ?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay - I hadn't checked in a couple of days because I thought I clicked the "Notify me when a reply is posted" and never received any emails.
The SSH template does not point to a Putty session - I've just filled in the Protocol, Username, and Password fields.
