error on windows server 2003

avatar

hi!
i just tested RDM running on a windows server 2003 SP2 .. when clicking on a RDP-connection it says "Unable to find Microsoft Remote Desktop Client 6.1!" ...
i double checked the versions on my system and on the server and they are both "6.0.6001.18000" ...
why is it that this error occurs on the server but not on my client (which is XP SP3 btw) ...

thanks in advance for your return!

Hi Plague, what version of RDM did you tried ? Have you tried the beta and the official version ? Does it work in embedded or external mode ? Let me know please.

hi david,

sorry for the insufficient information!

RDM version 5.6.3.0
embedded: the error i mentioned appears
external: i'm prompted for the password
- which is stored in the database .. and what works seamless on my XP machine
- also the variable "%userdomain%" is not resolved .. entering "echo %userdomain%" in the command shell works though

i can't imagine this results due to the fact that i'm connected to the server using RDP

Hi,
The version 5.6 is pretty old, do you have the problem with the latest beta ?
