Open a session by dropping a credential entry onto it
1 vote
Hello,
I would like to suggest a workflow improvement for Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) for Windows (currently on 2026.3.15.0).
Use case
Many of my sessions are opened with different accounts depending on the task, e.g. a standard user for daily work, an administrator account for maintenance, or a service account for testing. Today I have to right-click the session, go to Open with parameters → Open (select credentials)… and then search for the credential entry in the selection dialog, even though that credential entry is already visible in the navigation pane right next to the session.
Requested feature
Drag a credential entry (Username/Password, Password List, …) in the navigation pane and drop it onto a session entry. RDM then opens that session and authenticates with the dropped credentials, exactly as Open (select credentials)… does today. The credentials configured on the session itself stay unchanged; the dropped credentials apply to this one connection only.
Suggestions for the details:

Thank you for considering it.
