2026.3.x navigation filter focus & up/down arrows
Before 2026.3.x, clicking the navigation bar automatically focused the filter textbox (and also selected all text) so you could just click navigation to unhide it and start typing right away.
Now you need to click navigation, click filter textbox, delete current filter and then start typing, which is much less productive.
Also, as reported in another thread, when editing (navigation bar) filter, you can still press ENTER to open selected entry, but up/down arrows now changes filter based on filter history (nuking the filter you just typed and forcing you to erase/retype filter again), instead of moving entry selection like before. I don't know if this is an intentional change, but the previous behavior was MUCH more preferred.
The other thread mentions 2026.3.10.0 fixed the second issue, but it did not in my case.

Thank you for the detailed report, and for confirming that the arrow key issue persists in 2026.3.10.0.
1. Filter focus when the navigation pane is hidden
Thank you for pointing this out. The automatic focus and select-all on the filter box when clicking the collapsed navigation pane changed in 2026.3.x. In the meantime, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+L puts the focus back on the navigation pane's filter (this can be disabled in the options, so please check it is enabled). Our development team is also currently working on improvements to how the filter box behaves when it regains focus.
2. Up/Down arrows changing the filter history
Understood, so the fix in 2026.3.10.0 does not cover your scenario. To help us reproduce it, could you tell us:
- Whether you use the auto-hide mode of the navigation pane, and whether the pane is collapsed while you type in the filter.
- Whether you search in a single vault or with "All vaults" enabled (the "..." button next to the filter, then Filter options).
- Optionally, a short screen recording of the steps.
With this, we can check whether it needs a new report.
