2026.3.8 - RDP sessions randomly going blank when switching tabs.

We are aware of this issue and the development team is currently working to resolve it.
In the meantime, one workaround is to click another tab and come back. It should redraw the session instead of having to use the cursor to do it.

I have had the same issue and every time that I had to switch a tab, I had to move the navigation pane line to get it to show the screen properly. It doesn't always happen between tabs, but most of the time. On this session I was running a pinned navigation pane and use smart sizing in my VM display settings.

After the most recent update, this is still occurring. I find that it is also happening when minimizing Remote Desktop Manager to the taskbar and when it is clicked and maximizes, it is not displaying within the tabs.

I am mostly running RDP sessions to Windows Servers anywhere from 2016 to 2025 if that helps. This one is nested from using Remote Desktop Manager to a jump server that is running Remote Desktop Manager which I use to remote to other servers. The one with the issue, which started within the last 2 updates, is on the remote jump server.

How did this get into production? It's really bad. If you haven't updated to 2026.x don't. It's not ready to roll yet.

Confirmed this is still occuring on the latest version 2026.3.9, which is very annoying. I had to move my cursor to minimise a opened windows to reveal the entire screen.

Try updating to 2026.3.10. A lot of the issues I was seeing are fixed in that release.

I upgraded to 2026.3.10 on Friday. While not as frequent, I still have the blank screens.

Actually...the more I'm using it this morning...the more pronounced the issue becomes.

I am still seeing this on the latest version but only on the jump server that I log onto. I run it both locally and on the jump server and only see the issue on the remote one. It is not as bad and only seemed to happen when first run.

I just want to say thanks to the Devolutions staff for looking into this so quickly.

Is this the known issue where existing Remote Desktop sessions are forced to reconnect and redraw the display whenever you switch between them? This significantly impacts usability when working across multiple sessions.

I'm also seeing the same behavior with only a single session open. The client appears to perform a full reconnect when returning to the session, which shouldn't be necessary.

Yes, it's known. They thought they had it fixed in 2026.3.10 but it's still happening. 2026.3.11 is supposed to ship any day. Hopefully it's fixed in .11.

Updated to .12. Significantly better at RDP screen white-outs. However, I'm still having these whiteouts on occasion. Far less than previous versions.

Agreed. .12 is significantly better. Its not perfect but it's much better.
