Automatic Network scan

We currently have an "import with network scan" feature, accessible through the import menu:

Could you try it out and see if it does what you need? If it doesn't, I would like to know what is lacking so we could improve it.

You mentioned wanting this to run automatically, so we could possibly create a synchronizer entry, but the risk here is if you use your RDM on a different network, the synchronizer would remove entries it found on your first network as they may not be reachable. The import is safer and only imports, and only when you manually trigger it. There are also other synchronizers like the Active Directory one for example, if your network is under AD it could be the solution here.

Yes this function ist good, but not automatically.
my wish:

• Scan the network ip range 192.168.178.0 - 192.168.178.255 every X minutes. Every new device found should be created as an entry.

The network is under AD, but not every device is a ad member ;)
e.g. switches / routers, ...
