RDM 2026.3.8 / Synology Menus not working anymore

Hello

Since we updated to the new version 2026.3 we can't click on menus on synologies anymore:

If we open a menu, and try to click something it imeediatly closes when we try to get to the menu entry.

We are using RDM via an RDS server, if that makes any difference.

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for the report and the screenshot.

This is a known issue affecting embedded web sessions since RDM 2026.3.5, where a right-click context menu closes itself as soon as the mouse is moved, before an entry can be selected. Our QA team has reproduced it and it is already logged internally for a fix. There is no ETA yet, but I have added your case to the existing ticket so you will be notified once a fix is available.

As a workaround in the meantime, opening the Synology session in an external browser (Chrome, for example) instead of the embedded RDM session avoids the issue, since the problem is specific to the embedded browser engine.

Let me know if that workaround does not fit your setup and we can look at other options.

There should be a fix for this in the upcoming 2026.3.9.0 that will release later this week.

Please do let us know if the issue persists or not after updating to that version.

Version..9 is out but I could not find it in the release notes as a fix. Is it fixed in this version?
