Viewing a Secure Note is not as it is supposed to be

Good afternoon Support.

I have already submitted a support ticket from RDM last wednesday, but since I haven't received a confirmation or ticket number, I fear something went wrong in that process.

We are currently testing RDM 2026.2.17.0 with DVLS 2026.2.15.0.

Now I noticed that when we use the View button (or right mouseclick menu) on a Secure Note, this Secure Note is being displayed in raw Markdown language instead of the usual perfectly formatted text with the blue and black font with headers, bullets etc etc.

Besides that, the control is displayed in Disabled state, so scrolling through the displayed text is impossible.

It looks to me that when using View, the GUI actually shows the Edit Form (but in disabled state) instead of the viewer.

Hope to hear from you soon.

With kind regards,

Patrick.

Good afternoon Patrick,

Thank you for reporting this issue.

I was able to reproduce the behavior where a Secure Note opened using View displays the raw Markdown in a disabled control, preventing the content from being scrolled.

I have created a bug report and forwarded it to our development team for investigation. We will keep you informed of any updates.

Best regards,

Carl Marien

Hello,

Thank you for being so patient!

I am pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved in version 2026.3.2.0 of Remote Desktop Manager. As of now, version 2026.3.3.0 is only available in Beta.

We strongly recommend upgrading in a Staging environment before installing this version in the production environment.
Download RDM Beta

The full 2026.3 release (non-beta version) will be available in September.

If the problem persists after the update, please let us know so we can inform our development team.

Best regards,

Maxim Robert

Hello Maxim.

I'm glad to see that you have found a fix for this issue.
But is the 2026.3 version the only version where this will be resolved in? Not in a 2026.2 release?

Kind regards,

Patrick.

Hello Patrick,

Yes, that is correct. The fix will only be included in the 2026.3 release and will not be backported to a 2026.2 version.

The fix is currently available in RDM 2026.3.3.0 Beta.

Best regards,

Carl Marien
