User-specific override for credentials on session entry resets the UI and selects first available vault

avatar

Hi,

Running RDM for macOS 2026.2.4.4 on macOS 15.7.8, I encountered an issue where when configuring a user-specific override to select a credential object from my user vault, trying to select the session entry in the tree after editing it, results in the UI resetting to the first available (in alphabetic order) vault in the list and related dashboard. If I remove the user-specific override, the behaviour returns to normal. The issue only seems to be with session entries, not with folders (there it works as expected).

I can also trigger the issue when the browser plug-in (using Edge for macOS with integration configured to RDM) tries to access the same session type to fill in the login info. In the background, I see RDM switching to the first vault too.

When attempting to set the user-specific override in Windows, the macOS version again exhibits the problem so it doesn't seem to be related to which client version is making the change.

If debug information is needed, please let me know, and I'll provide what I can.

Best regards,
Jelle Hillen

I can confirm the same behavior on the Mac, and it's driving me crazy. I'm constantly getting "error in the save option" and I must kill the task manually.

Hi,

I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on my end.

Could you let me know what type of workspace(datasource) you’re using? Also, does the issue occur with a specific session type? If so, please let me know which one.
This information will help me narrow down the cause and try to reproduce the issue.

Workspace - Devolutions Cloud
Session type - RDP
macOS Tahoe 26.6.1, Apple MacBook Air M4

I've confirmed on my side, when I remove the user-specific settings from the connection (credentials from my personal vault), and enter the credentials directly it works. As soon as I'm using the connections which have credentials override, application hangs and it must be killed manually. Also I get the error - "error in the save option" and RDM is unusable.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce the issue, and it appears to be isolated to cloud workspaces.
I’ve created a ticket so we can get this fixed as soon as possible. We’ll report back here once the fix is available.
