Identity in favorites updates don't propagate and cannot edit identities after restart

Could you please confirm the following information when you have the time:

• Which workspace (formally known as datasource) do you have configured?
• Whether the Favorites propagation delay reproduces on any Favorite entry, or only on the identity you rotate daily.
• If you temporarily remove the identity from Favorites and edit it directly from its vault, does the new password apply cleanly on the first save, or do you still see the same delay before the change is picked up?

I am using a local data source under AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager\Connections.db. I really only have 1 id item that changes regularly added to my favorites which when I edit from there it doesn't update in favorites unless I edit it from the vault directly. Haven't tried any other. I just tested it with another ID added to an ID group in favorites. I edit the password adding a 123 at the end and save. Then I reopen it under favorites and the 123 isn't there but if I switch back to vault and open the ID the 123 is there and if I save then it shows up in favorites and works from favorites. No delay if I edit it from vault.

The bigger issue is not being able to edit entries on restart while the dialogue to reconnect previous sessions is up. I used to be able to do this so I could update changed passwords so that the session reconnects would succeed

I had to downgrade to 2026.1.24. All other versions since then appear to have the issue where I cannot edit the id items after reboot but for choosing reconnect to past connections and they have the issue where editing entries in favorites save to the vault while the old entry stays in the favorites view .

Thank you for the feedback. Could you please confirm the following so we can try to reproduce the issues on our side:

• For Favourites, does the stale view happen with entries other than Identities (RDP, SSH), or only Identities?
• Are the impacted entries directly in the Favorites root, inside an Identity group, or both?
• For the beep, if you click the reopen dialog title bar first and then the navigation pane, does anything change?
• If you cancel the reopen dialog first, can you edit the Identity normally?

Since i have downgraded i had to install rdm on another system to test it out. Allowed it to upgrade to the latest version 2026.2.18 and it still has the same problem. on a different host any version since 2026.2 if you edit any part of the entry while in the favorites panel and choose save and then reopen it what you saved will not be present and the entry launched from favorites will launch with the old parameters. This is easily reproducible. However, if i edit in the favorites panel choose save then switch to the vault panel and open the entry the changes saved in the favorites panel will be present in the vault panel and choosing save from vault will make them available in both the vault and favorites panel.
As far as choosing the restore panel title and then the navigation panel that doesnt work either.

I am attaching a video of the issues. I can regularly reproduce them on other laptops i install rdm on so I must not be describing the issue sufficiently. Hopefully this video will clarify.

Thank you for your patience whilst we tested this on the newest version of RDM 2026.3.8.

I can reproduce the first issue highlighted in the video; I am unable to use the navigation tree whilst the prompt to relaunch the last session is present. Therefore, I will forward the case details for that issue to our developer team for review. I will report back once I have an update from their side.

Regarding the second issue, this seems to be fixed on the more recent builds. I can edit a password in the favourites tab and it updates correctly right away in both in the favourites tab and in the shared vault. Therefore, updating should fix this issue.

As mentioned, I will report back once I have an update on the first issue.

Our developer team has also been able to reproduce the issue regarding the "Reconnect previous sessions" prompt.

I've found and fixed the issue. You can expect to be able to interact with the main application while the "Last opened sessions" window is displayed with the upcoming 2026.3.10 version.

I installed 2026.3.10 and I can now use the Navigation panel after restart when the reconnect dialogue is still open. However, the other issue still persists. The ID entry that I added to favorites if I select it from favorites and edit the entry my updates to the password are not saved. I can only edit them from the vault view. I have recreated this consistently with different system and versions after 2026.2 through 2026.3.10.

Do you mind uploading another brief video of the ID entry issue as I still cannot reproduce this on my side on RDM version 2026.3.12.

Once I update the password in my favourites view, and click the refresh button on the top right of the RDM dashboard, the password is updated in the shared vault also.

The issue is already shown in the last video I uploaded. It is a very persistent and easy to reproduce problem. Even after upgrading to the 2026.3.12 it is still present. I do not see how you don't have an angry mob screaming at the gates. This is a big issue which I have been able to reproduce across 3 different systems and every release from 2026.2 through 2026.3 version. From the favorites any entry you edit while viewing it in the favorites view of the Navigation panel then update the password or the host name and choose save. If you open its properties again the changes will not be present. The only way to edit and save properties is from the vault view not the favorites view.

We have finally been able to reproduce the issue on our side. I have forwarded the details to our developer team for review.

We also found that refreshing RDM via the refresh icon in the top left corner of RDM after changing the password enabled the password to update correctly in the favourites tab as well as the shared vault.

I will report back once I have an update from the team on when a patch will be implemented.

I've found and fixed the issue happening specifically in the favorites. The issue was specifically with the contextual menu (right click). Actions done through the Dashboard button would register correctly. You can expect this issue fixed with the release of the upcoming 2026.3.13
