WatchGuard VPN connection status doesn't refresh — stays "running" after disconnect

Since an update, some of our WatchGuard VPN connection entries in RDM keep showing a status of "running on..." even though the connection has actually been inactive for several hours or even days.

It would help to have a periodic status check for WatchGuard VPN connections so the displayed state in RDM actually reflects whether the VPN is still active, instead of getting stuck on the last known state.
