Convert Entrys from VmConsole to RDP Session

Hy! I have synced the Servers from the vecenter into a folder and can now connect to vm console, thats fine. I have copied the synec entries into a new folder. Now i want to chanage the conneciton type for them all to RDP, because most of the Severs are Windows. Is there an existing solution for that?

Thanks for reaching out to us.

There's no bulk option to change the connection type across multiple entries. The way to do it per entry is:

  1. Right-click the entry > Edit > Edit (Special Actions) (docs)
  2. Go to the Template tab
  3. Use the Change Type dropdown and select RDP

Note: this requires administrator access on your data source.

You could also try Convert with template in the same Special Actions menu — if you have an RDP template set up, it may let you apply it to entries and preserve some of the existing data. That said, we haven't confirmed whether it supports multi-selection, so it's worth testing on a single entry first.
For a large number of entries, the most reliable workaround remains doing it one by one via the steps above, or recreating the entries as RDP from scratch using your server hostnames.
