Error when posting VERY long data in parameter field of Terminal Command Entry

Hi,

while working around my other issue I tried to paste an BASE64 encoded shell script into the text-field for "Parameter #1" after selecting "Text" as type for that parameter.

The BASE64 string is 137865 bytes.

I could save and close the properties window.

If I now try to open the properties of this Terminal Command Entry again (on my PC) I get an error message that RDM cannot connect to the datasource. Then it shows me another message


Even restarting RDM does not change this behaviour. My colleague (using RDM on Mac) can open this entry, but only sees 890bytes of data in the parameter field. So I assume that RDM tried saving, could only save part of the data, and now somehow retains the complete info in a local copy but unable do actually do anything with it.

While I can accept, that this field cannot save so much data (which I actually expected), I would at least expect an error (or a size limited edit-field) BEFORE saving the configuration. I'm not sure what I could have done now, except deleting the entry, which I could at least do successfully.
