Disable AI Assistant

avatar

Hello

I've been looking into how I could disable the AI Assistant in RDM.

Unfortunately, the closest I got are release notes mentioning that it is possible but I cannot find the system (?) setting.

Could someone please help locating the setting?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Nick

Hello Nick,

This can be done via Remote Desktop Manager Group Policies:
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/group-policies/#disable-ai-assistant-features

Hi Min

Thanks for your reply.

It's inconvenient that it must be done via GPO. I notice it are registry keys that need to be changed.

Since not all our users are domain joined Windows users (but also Linux & Mac users), how can we disable the AI assistant?

Kind regards,
Nick

Could you let us know what type of data source you are using?

Hello,

We've added an option to Disable AI assistant in the Advanced section of both System Settings, and File - Settings.

This will be available with the upcoming 2026.1.17 version.
