Duplicating SSH Terminal entry to a Cisco switch causes error when trying to start an SSH session

Hi,

when duplicating an SSH Terminal entry which points to a cisco switch the following error appears. It tells me to enable kex: diffie-hellman-group14-sha1. When I do enable it for the entry it does work. But I'm guessing there is a reason why this algo is disabled by default. And it only happens when duplicating. When I create a new entry it works fine without enabling it. Any idea as to why this happens and is there a better workaround than to enable this algo for all entries?

Hi Maximilian,

Thank you for reporting this.

Could you let us know which version of RDM you are using, and what type of data source you are using?

Could you also try recreating the session manually instead of duplicating it, just to see whether the issue still occurs?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Best regards,

Hi Alexis,

I am using RDM 2026.1.12 and Devolutions Server 2026.1.11.
Recreating the entry manually does not cause this behaviour. That works fine.
