SSH Terminal Elevation mode settings

SSH Terminal Elevation mode settings

avatar

Hi All!

What are the settings for "Elevation mode" and "Elevation tool" supposed to do in SSH Terminal sessions?
When I set this to "Automatic" and "sudo" and open the session with "Open using elevated credentials" then it logs in with the credentials that are configured here, but nothing else is happening.
Also when I do a "sudo" in the session, nothing happens. I just have to type my sudo password manually as normal.
Am I missing something here?

PS: "Allow password in variable" is activated for the session.

Best Regards
Mario Sommer

Hi Mario,

After investigating internally, we believe we may have identified a bug with this feature.

We are currently reviewing the expected behavior of these settings in more detail to understand better exactly what is happening. As soon as we have a clearer conclusion, we will get back to you with a more complete explanation.

I appreciate your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
