Hello,
I would like to submit a feature request regarding the Advanced Search functionality in Remote Desktop Manager.
Currently, Advanced Search allows selecting and editing multiple entries based on conditions like Username. However, this does not work when credentials are linked from the vault.

Scenario
Previously, I had an SSH user called “db_user” stored directly inside each SSH session entry.
Using Advanced Search with the condition:
Username contains db_user
I was able to find and batch-edit all relevant entries.
Now, I have improved the setup by linking the credentials from the vault (Linked (Vault) mode). In this case, the username is no longer stored inside the SSH entry itself, but inside the linked credential entry.
As a result:

  • Searching by Username = db_user returns 0 results.
  • There is currently no condition available to search for:
    • Entries that use a specific linked vault credential
    • Entries linked to a specific vault
    • Or “Find by Name” in the same way as other searchable properties

Requested Enhancement
It would be very helpful if Advanced Search could support:

  1. Searching entries by linked vault credential
  2. Searching entries by vault name
  3. Selecting all entries that use a specific credential object
  4. Enabling batch operations based on linked credential usage

This would significantly improve manageability when working with centralized credentials and would make bulk changes much easier.
From a usability perspective, this seems like a logical extension of the current search functionality.
Thank you for considering this request.
Best regards

Hello,

Thank you for the request. There's a few things I'd like to clarify with you.

First, when you say the following:

Searching entries by linked vault credential

Do you mean in your case, that you would search for "db_user" and it would return all entries whose resolved username match to "db_user"? For example, if you have an RDP using the "linked vault" mode to a credential, and in that credential there's the username "db_user", it should show up in the result? There would definitely be a limitation where external credential providers (think 1Password, Lastpass, etc) would not work for this, and we'd have to check for possible performance issues, but this should be doable if I understand your needs correctly.

For this point:

Searching entries by vault name

When searching in different vaults, the options are more limited, but it is possible to search only in a specific vault. In 2026.1, the Advanced Search was merged with the Multi-vault search for simplicity, and the UI was reworked. It now looks like this:

From there, you can tailor your search to only include certain vaults rather than only the current one, or all of them.

Selecting all entries that use a specific credential object

I did a quick mockup, I assume you mean something like this:

I think it should be possible. We also have something similar which could help you, the "Referenced by" tab in the credential entry itself:

From there you can perform batch edits of the entries. It's also already available in the advanced search, but the entries need to belong to the same vault.
