Hi, was in touch with support who recommended I post here as a feature request.
I am unable to set the "Ask for confirmation to connect" selection for a folder or session once Devolutions Gateway is selected.
The option is available through the web on Devolutions Hub Business.
In addition, once the setting is applied in Hub Business, it doesn't appear to be reflected on RDM once closed / re-opened or a sync is performed.
This option is useful as using Devolutions Gateway automatically results in ngrok paid usage which is unnecessary when connecting to sessions internally.
Thanks very much for your time, keep up the fantastic work, incredible accomplishment so far with RDM / Gateway / Hub.

Hello,
Thank you for the request. I'll check with our team to see why this decision was made and whether we could properly support this option. At a glance, I don't see why not, but I'm not as familiar with the Gateway implementation as some of my colleagues.

Thank you for looking into it, much appreciated!
Thought I would mention another oddball occurrence.
Performing a batch edit on multiple sessions exposes the "Ask for confirmation to connect" by using the Override VPN option.

Hello,
After some internal discussion, we feel like the problem you're trying to solve could effectively be achieved by setting the option "Connect if unable to ping/port scan", did you try this option out?
I'm assuming that in your environment, when you're on your internal network, the ping/port scan will succeed, while once you're outside of it, it will fail, meaning that the Gateway will only be used when outside of your internal network.
Let me know what you think. If this isn't a working solution for you, it will change the priority we give to adding support for the "Ask for confirmation to connect" setting.

Hello Hubert, thank you very much for advising on the additional setting, it does seem to work as intended, for internal and external connections. Appreciate the excellent support so far, top notch as always.
While I have you, and I realize this is completely off topic, just wanted to quickly confirm that currently there is no option to add a label to alternate hosts list.
Illustration in screenshot below.
Thank you again!

Perfect, I'm glad to hear this works for you!
For the alternate hosts, as you say, there's currently no way to add an identifier to the values. I'll add it to my personal notes that it could be a nice-to-have improvement.
And, I forgot to address this in your previous post, but I will open an internal bug ticket for the issue with the batch edit. If you're not able to set that mode in the "regular" edition, you should also not be able to select it through the batch edit.

Hubert Mireault
Thank you Hubert, appreciate all the support so far, top notch!
