RDM seems not to load sometimes

RDM seems not to load sometimes

Sometimes when I launch RDM, nothing appends. I try two or three times without any reaction. When I check my running tasks RDM is present 3 times. I kill all the tasks and after the next launch succeed.

Hello Pierre,

Thanks for reaching out with your issue.

This usually means RDM is starting but hanging before the UI appears, so each new launch creates another background instance. Killing all RDM processes clears the stuck instance, which is why the next launch works.
To troubleshoot, please post:

  • RDM version/build + MSI or portable
  • Windows version + local launch or over RDP
  • Data source type (SQLite/XML vs SQL Server / Devolutions Server / Hub) and whether it’s over VPN/remote network
  • Any AV/EDR in place
  • RDM logs + Windows Event Viewer (Application) entries around a failed launch timestamp
