Hi all,
You may have had this question already, but here goes.
We have multiple users using RDM Enterprise.
User 1 is logged into a VM1 session via RDM.
User 2 also wants to log into VM1 with the same credentials via RDM.
Is there any indicator or way User 2 can see that someone is currently logged into the VM1 session?
thanks,
Fultz.

Hi,
You can enable the warning in the session logs properties.

Do I need to be an Administrator to see this option?
I can't see the Option section on the Log tab.
thanks

You need a SQL Server data source. What type of data source do you use?
David Hervieux
We have RDM enterprise version 8.2 and using MSQL 2008.

Could you post a print screen of your Log tab in the session properties
David Hervieux
I found the setting it's in the Logs tab of the Session Properties, thanks for the help;)

Hi David,
I think with SQL-Server Datasource we would not get an performance issue, if you try to indicate open sessions directly in the session list, e.g. with a blue "play" symbol. Its would me more usefull than the warning or allways switching to to the global open session list. What do you think?
The slow down could be caused by the refresh. How often the client should verify this?
David Hervieux
every 5 secounds should be enough, but create a program settings entry, users with much power and/or small databases could reduce this value to realtime, those with slower datasources could rise these value or turn it completly of.
probably you could also add an option to each session (we'll need the batch edit mode) to choose if the in use state should be monitored or not.
Hi,
This means that if you have 20 clients connected to the database, they will all query the data each 5 seconds. This is where you can have a performance issue. Anyway I have few idea and I'm aware that this feature would be great.
