Feature Request – Attachment Grouping Option

Feature Request – Attachment Grouping Option

Hello,

I would like to request an improvement to the file attachment feature in Remote Desktop Manager.
Currently, we can attach files to entries, but there is no way to group, categorize, or organize these attachments. When an entry contains multiple files, it becomes difficult to manage them.

A grouping or categorization option for attachments (e.g., folders, tags, or custom groups) would significantly improve usability and organization.

Thank you for considering this feature.

Hello,

Thank you for the request, I think it would be a nice thing to add. I will open an internal ticket for this.

Also, are you using Devolutions Server or Hub, or a different type of datasource? It's to give us an idea of where to prioritize the development efforts.

Hello,

Thank you for your quick response and for opening an internal ticket for this request.

Regarding your question, I use different datasources depending on the project. Specifically, I use Devolutions Server as well as local SQLite datasources.

If you need any additional details about my setup or usage scenarios, I would be glad to provide more information.

Thank you for the information. Maybe one last thing, is a tree something necessary for you, or just having them split into "categories" would work?
What I mean by this is how entries are shown in folders, for example:

The "categories" are different for each folder and sub folder, but the way they are presented is as a flat list with "categories". Would this work for you?

Hello Hubert,

Thank you for the clarification. The type of grouping you described works well for me. I don’t require a full category tree, a flat list with categories, as shown in the image attached, fully meets my needs.

Thank you again for your assistance.

Ömer
