This would allow us to use other localization software to translate the text and then import it, as Devolutions Localizer is too weak in functionality compared to other professional localization tools.

Hi,

What language are you planning to translate? On our end, the output from the Localizer app is an .NET Resources (.resx) is a file.

I could probably provide the English (.resx) files and you could return the translated versions. I would have to double check with legal and stuff but I don't see it being an issue.

As for Localizer, we are not sure what its future will be. It has seen very little improvement over the years and with current AI tools available, it is unclear whether further investment in it makes sense at this point.

Thank you.
I would like to translate into Simplified Chinese.
During rapid product iteration, if we use .NET Resources (.resx) for translation, will there be any latency?
I can try it out first. As a supplement to Devolutions Localizer, it might be a good idea.

Yes and no. Whether you use Localizer or send me the .resx files, there should be no difference in how long it takes for the changes to reach production.

Note: Localizer syncs the translations to a dev branch (future release v2026.1). Then we run a sync that pushes the required changes to the release branch (v2025.3). This runs every six hours, so it is fast. However, in the case of 2026.1 vs 2025.3, since we changed the resource naming convention, we have temporarily stopped the sync to v2025.3. So if you are expecting quick translations in v2025.3, it will not happen. This is the first time we have had to do this. Going forward, we do not expect to keep doing it, so 2026.2 to 2026.1 should sync normally.

I can try it out first. As a supplement to Devolutions Localizer, it might be a good idea.

If you are still using the app, stop for now. I will sync what you have already translated and send you the files. Send them back when you are done or when you are ready for me to sync them.

Best regards.

I've sent you the files via direct message.

Good luck and let me know if you other questions.
