VMWare Synchronizer via Jump Host

Hello,

I am facing the challenge of importing all virtual machines from our VMWare environment into the RDM. I would like to use the synchronizer for this. The vcenter is located in a VLAN that is not directly accessible. I have a jump host (bastion) for this, but I cannot specify it directly anywhere like in templates for example. Something like this would be nice:

Hello Daniel,

I'll check with our devs to see what could be possible (maybe through our Gateway).

Hello

This isn't a capability that RDM Jump / Agent has, unfortunately; and that's why it doesn't show up.

Our own Devolutions Gateway does support this scenario. Talking to VMWare doesn't have a native integration; but it's possible using a Devolutions Gateway Tunnel. This is a session type in RDM that's useful when using connections that do not have built-in support in Remote Desktop Manager through the Devolutions Gateway.

Please let me know if you'd like some more information or help in setting that up.

Broadly, you might be able to roll something yourself using an SSH Tunnel to the Bastion machine. I haven't tried it on my side, but RDM does let you use SSH Tunnels for scenarios like this.

Please, let me know if something isn't clear or you have further questions

Kind regards,
