Local DB - security issue

Hi,

From what I understand the way RDM and PVM works, when you are working with SQL data source, after you establish a connection to the DB it's downloads a local copy of the database and work with it.

Is it true in a regular configuration or only when I choose to option to move to offline mode ?

We had a security survey on the PVM and it came up as a security risk for the program.
