DameWare Remote Control Invalid Command Line - Possible culprit
Hello there,
I want to integrate Dameware Remote Control into one single pane of glass which is RDM. When trying to configure credentials and hostname, I get the "Invalid Command Line" error.
If I enter the same settings into embedded Dameware windows it works. I think I noticed the culprit - if password contains spaces it has to be in quotes, which is not what RDM passes through command line. Is there a way for me to edit command line, or for RDM to parse password with spaces in a way to use quotes?

Hello Mario,
We will open a ticket to address this and post back here once we have an update. At the moment maybe you could use the Command Line entry but you would have to enter the whole command from scratch. Another alternative could be to configure the password in the entry to have the beginning and ending quote, but of course it would stop working once we introduce the fix.

I wanted to let you know we have made the change and it will be available starting with 2025.3.24.0. Our 2025.3.23.0 build is already going through QA testing, so it will not be the next update, but the one after. That should release in a week or two.
