Hi,
This feature request is based on the following information:
"Chrome in embedded mode is deprecated and will be removed in 2026.1 - Use Edge embedded instead."
Please add an option to continue using Chrome or add a browser (f.e. firefox) that works just as well.
Microsoft Edge is not an option for us.

Hello Dominik,
Can you let me know what version of RDM you're using right now? Under the hood, the Google Chrome (embedded) choice has been using WebView2 since version 2024.3, which is the same component as we use for Edge. If you enabled the "force deprecated chrome web browser integration" setting in File > Settings, then it used a different third party component, which is what we are removing in 2026.1. If you were already on version 2024.3 and above, and didn't have this setting enabled, then your experience should stay more-or-less the same as before.
The reason why we are removing this third party library is twofold:
I hope this explains why we are removing this, and what exactly this would affect. Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Also, one more thing I forgot to mention, this change is only for the embedded Google Chrome implementation. For the external mode, Firefox and Chrome are still supported, and you can use the Workspace browser extension to fill credentials from RDM, DVLS or Hub.
