SFTP Sessions / Settings "Starting location" to "/"

when setting the "Starting location" value to "/", the remote system root should be visible but it's not.
Instead, the window is blank. I can still manually change folder from the top path by entering the path manually but still, why "/" content is not displayed?

No, it's not an sftp permission issue...

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter.

I tested the behavior on my end using RDM for Mac, version 2025.3.6.9, and was unable to reproduce the issue.
Could you please let me know which version you are currently using? If possible, try updating to the latest version and see if the issue persists.

Additionally, please share a screenshot of the issue, this will help us better understand and attempt to reproduce it if necessary.

I look forward to your reply.
Best regards,

Running 2025.3.6.9 here too.
Have a look : starting location is set to "/"
5fc120ff-f86f-4ca5-bd0d-f7629286dc58
But once connected, I indeed arrive at "/" but no content is visible:
1049ac87-75e8-47ec-acfb-b37694467a3b
I can still manually access everywhere by entering it in the address bar (ie.: /var) and see the content from this sub-folder:
1eb23178-8872-4ba4-a32a-f1affe1d4b72
But the root content itself is not visible.
changing back the path to "/" produce nothing and stays at current /var location.

from a local terminal using the same user (root):
