How to get backup into new installation
I've gone from a Mac which I was using without issue for years, to a Windows laptop. Religiously did my export backup from RDM on Mac, only to find when signed in with my account on the new Windows machine that there doesn't seem to be any way to get to it? It was all online - where has it gone? I'm signed in with the same credentials. I can no longer access the old Mac.

Do you remember what type of datasource you we're using on your MAC? Was it SQLite, XML or Hub Personal?
When you mentioned that you export your backup, you exported your data into a .rdm file locally? If yes, it should be possible to import this .rdm file on your Windows machine easily.
We would need more details on the format of the backup file that you have in hand.
