Remote Dsktop Manager support for additional Realms with Proxmox

I attempted to use the new Proxmox console (preview) but ran into an issue due to the support under ticket only being PAM and PVE. Would it be possible to support using an OpenID method for Realms. We currently have our Proxmox deployment using OpenID to use SSO and MFA into the boxes and wondered if this would be available in the future as an option.

Hi,
It was not planned per se but we welcome feedback about our Proxmox integration.
As a result, I'll open a ticket to look into providing OpenID as a realm option.

Hello @Jonathan Lafontaine,
we are planning to migrate from VMware to Proxmox and whould also like to use the Proxmox console in RDM. RIght now we also have the realm-issue with our current Version of RDM (2026.2.11.0), because we configured an additional realm to login with Active Directory (just username and password).
Maybe you can also take this scenario into consideration.

I've seen increased interest in Proxmox with AD or Azure integration.
As such, I've increased the priority of our internal ticket. I don't have an ETA, but the plan is to ship this with our 2026.3 release.
