How to quickly "alt+tab" between the 2 most recents running host ?
Is there a way to quickly switch from one host to another, a bit like alt+tab?
I have a lot of tabs open, very often I need to switch between 1 of my first tabs, and the one I opened recently.
Since the last one open at the end, I can't see both tabs at the same time, I need to either use the little down arrow to the right of the tabs, or the Tab list.
Is there a way to use mouse wheel to scroll the tabs left and right ? like in Notepad++ for instance.
is there a possibility to quickly switch between the 2 tabs ? By displaying the last recent tab at the top of the list under the down arrow ? Like in Chrome for instance.
or maybe by adding a button at the top in the Quick access toolbar ?
Also, I'm missing a way to quickly sort opened tabs. If I need to move the last opened tab next to the first one, I have to drag it manually through all the tabs, it is hard to manage.
or maybe allow us to select an option to open new tabs next to the current one instead of placing them at the very end ?
Thanks :)
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
Could you please specify the version of RDM you are currently using?
What type of data source are you using?
That being said, under "File" -> "Settings" -> "User interface" -> "Keyboard," you can set a keyboard shortcut for "Select Previous tab" and "Select Next tab." You can also set bookmarks and use the assigned shortcut for them.
Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions regarding this,
Best regards,

Hi,
I usually update quickly, but I'm running 2025.3.15.0 with local data source.
Next and Previous is not the same as Alt Tab, isn't it ? It would simply switch to the next or previous neighbors.
If the tabs are neighbors, I wouldn't have no problem, but they are far appart from each other.
Alt tab, is not about Next/Previous, but more about "Last accessed tab"
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I see, there is currently no shortcut for this,
If that is something you would like to see implemented, I recommend creating a feature request.
