Opening terminal session (KiTTY) focuses dashboard

Opening terminal session (KiTTY) focuses dashboard

avatar

8.9.5.0 (but has been happening for a while).

When I open a terminal session using Kitty, with an embedded window, the dashboard always ends up being focussed after the session opens.

I can see the tab for the session open, but am left looking at the dashboard for that session instead.

I've been into the options and disabled the focus dashboard option, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

I've got the same problem across multiple machines, all running Windows 8.

I should also mention that I have the Navigation bar set to not permanently display (using the pin icon) so it slides back to a button on left of screen.

I have entered a bug for that. I will try to reproduce it and fix it.

Hi David,

Any update?

Or is it possible to be able to view the bug (if publicly viewable)?

This is not fixed yet and i hope to be able to fix this for the v9.0

Hi,

Any news regarding this bug being fixed?

I don't know whether it is related or not but I'm experiencing exactly the same behavior, but only when the navigation pane is set to hide and only with putty sessions.

Hi,
I will ask JF to reproduce it.

Hi Joaquin,

What version of RDM are you using?

Could you provide us more information on your issue please.

Best regards,

Hi Jean-François,

I'm using RDM 10.1.9.0.

The issue is as follows:

Everytime i try to open a Putty session it opens the session in a new tab, however automatically the focus goes to the dashboard, even when the "Auto focus dashboard" options is not set. This doesn't happen with RDP or WEB "sessions" which are automatically focused when open.

As mentioned in previous reply, i have the navigation pane to "autohide". When i have the navigation pane "always visible" the behavior is as expected and the focus goes to the recently open session.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Joaquin M.V.

Hi Joaquin,

I was able to reproduce 2-3 time your issue with RDM 10.1.9.0 and a SSH Shell session. After, a few disconnect and reconnect it work as expected.

I was not able to reproduce with RDM 10.5.0.0.

Could you try this latest version of RDM and let us know of the results
